Nigeria's Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tuji-Ojo's promise to address the significant challenges experienced by Nigerian passport applicants in Canada is a crucial step towards improving the situation.

Dr. Tuji-Ojo, accompanied by the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mrs. Kemi Nandap, and other senior officials from the NIS, was on a short visit to the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa, Canada. On arrival, the acting High Commissioner, Ambassador Obioma Nzewuji, and a team of officers at the Chancery received them. Ambassador Nzewuji enumerated the significant problems experienced by some applicants, especially Nigerian students in Canada, and solicited the assistance of the Minister and the Comptroller General of Immigration.
