249,000 doses of COVID-19 Vaccine on the way to CANADA

Trudeau says the initial doses meant for long-term care homes and workers would arrive before the end of December 2020. While advising Canadians to continue to adhere to health care guidance and behaviours to the public, Prime minister Trudeau says "any vaccine approved in Canada will be safe and effective". The dispensation of the doses of the vaccines to the provinces would be proportional to the population he said. The locations of each of the fourteen distribution centres are yet to be announced. The Prime Minister adds that the vaccine must be stored in a freezer at temperatures between-80 C and 60 C, making the management of the distribution process intricate. Meanwhile, the province of Ontario reported more than 1,900 COVID-19 cases in two days. Even with the positive news from the Prime Minister, the head of the province of Ontario's vaccine distribution task force, Gen. Rick Hillier says, Health Canada has not yet approved the vaccine.
